Smart watches are more popular now than ever… especially since Apple’s launch of the Apple iWatch a few years ago. However, with so many smartwatches on the market to choose from… you’re likely to be asking, what is Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch and how can it help me improve my health?
Well, let’s start with the features of the Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch:
- See simplified heart rate zones for quickly checking exercise intensity during workouts with PurePulse(TM) continuous, wrist-based heart rate monitoring (no uncomfortable chest strap required).

How It Compares To The Apple iWatch
Most experts in the tech industry compare the Fitbit Blaze to the Apple iWatch. This comes as no surprise to me since Apple is considered the industry leader when it comes to high-end quality tech gadgets.
Both the Fitbit Blaze and Apple iWatch has customizable screens, including different watch faces. However, you can also load FitStar workouts directly onto the Fitbit Blaze device. Additionally, both watches have replaceable and interchangeable watch bands, which is pretty cool.
Both watches have color touchscreen displays, though they use different technologies. Apple employs OLED screen technology in two different sizes, with a Sapphire crystal glass protection for the ceramic and stainless steel models and ION-X strengthened glass for the standard model. It’s also brighter than the original Watch display.
Fitbit opts for a 1.6-inch LCD screen with 240 x 180 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 coating to give it an extra layer of durability. By any metric, Apple’s tech is far superior.
The Apple Watch Series 2 can now deliver two days, whether you go for the 38mm or the 44mm model. The latter has a bigger battery, however, we found there’s not that much difference in battery life.
Believe it or not, the Blaze has five days of battery life… which includes a number of workout sessions.
What I especially like about the Blaze is the fitness avatar which illustrates the type of workouts you should be doing to get warmed up!
The Fitbit Blaze is an activity tracker, sleep tracker, heart rate monitor, fitness watch, smartwatch (although Fitbit refuses to call it a smartwatch), fashion accessory, and at a more attractive price than that of the Apple iWatch (which has a plethora of more features).
In short… this is obviously the best Tracker Fitbit has to offer and is about the closest you’re going to get to the iWatch without paying a premium price. Nonetheless, if you’re more about fitness than let’s say… checking emails – then the Fitbit Blaze is probably a good fit for you.
