erover self balancing scooter for sale Just the other day while out shopping with the family, my daughters and I encountered these young kids on scooters. Not just any scooters… how bout’ a self balancing scooter. I was impressed – these gadgets were pretty awesome!

These two kids mesmerized everyone around as they glided across the slick pavement with merely nothing to prevent them from falling, other than the skill-set required to operate this unique piece of machinery on wheels. Every turn, stop, and reverse movement was executed by simple feet gestures.

  1. I have also seen some of these Erover self balancing scooters in action. I always wondered how people are able to balance themselves on these things.

I am thinking about buying one of them, but I do not know where I can find one.

What is the price of one of these and how far can they go before the battery is flat?

    1. Vijoen-

The price range on these Hoverboards can run you anywhere between $300 – 800$… and on the average you can travel up to 12 miles on a full charge.

  2. What a cool gadget. Looks much like a Segway platform without the handlebar. I think balancing would take quite a bit of skill. The Segway that I tried out was very sensitive to your every movement and this was how it was controlled. I wonder if these are built with the same type of innovation and design.

    1. Sheila-

Funny you should say that… I think both of these products are built with the same design in mind. The Erover Scooter however appears to be a bit more modern and thus requires a tad more skill without the use of handlebars.

  3. Hi Mark, this is really a cool gadget!

I am thinking what should I get for my young son this coming Christmas, and this gadget definitely looks appealing to me.

However, I am slightly concern on the safety aspect of it. Does it requires good balancing skills in order to drive it? And how does one control its speed?

    Thanks for your advice.

    1. Hi Edmund-

Yes, it does require some balancing skills, and you can control the speed from the pressure of your feet. If your son is old enough to ride a skateboard he should do fine.

  4. Hi there,

Those do look ultra cool I must admit. Are those self balancing scooters not just another name for the hover boards?

Hover boards were all the rage at christmas and pre christmas but were reported to be dangerous due to issues with the battery and recharging and, well some were exploding?

I’d love one, but just want to know if these things will explod eor not!

    1. Derek-

To answer your first question, yes… self balancing scooters are synonymous with hover boards. On the other hand, since Christmas we’ve heard all kinds of rumors about how unsafe hover boards are. I’ve done some additional research and discovered that many of the problems derived from counterfeit manufacturers. Nonetheless, new laws will go into effect the first of the year in some states regarding the safety of riding them.

  5. Yup! We are truly becoming a lazy society; too lazy to even walk.

I can just see just about everyone in the near future roaming around on one of these.

Okay, so these self balancing boards are not hover boards? I mean, they look the same to me. What is the difference?

    1. Actually… self balancing boards is just another way of say hover boards. I can’t wait for the day they actually start hovering!!

  6. for some reason, people seemed to get upset about this industry using the term ‘hoverboard’ which was meant for flying skateboards from back to the future….. hahaha. so for PC they call them ‘self balancing scooters’ even though a scooter is what the skateboard in the original 1955 skateboard scene started out as. there was no self-balancing.
